The Statue  is a colossal statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, located in the state of Gujarat, India. Standing at a height of 182 meters (597 feet), it is the tallest statue in the world. The statue was inaugurated on October 31, 2018, to honor Sardar Patel’s role as the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India, particularly for his efforts in uniting the country after its independence.

Designed by Indian sculptor Ram V. Sutar, the statue is situated on an island in the Narmada River, near the Sardar Sarovar Dam in the Kevadia region. It is made of bronze-coated steel and concrete and stands on a base that includes a museum and an exhibition hall showcasing Patel’s life and achievements. The design reflects Patel’s leadership, and the statue has become a symbol of unity and national pride, attracting visitors from around the world.

The Statue of Unity is a major tourist attraction, with facilities for boat rides, a viewing gallery, and landscaped gardens around the monument. It stands as a tribute to one of India’s most revered leaders, who played a key role in the integration of princely states into the Indian Union.
